Terms of Service
The terms below govern the use of thesoulofwind.com and our music distribution services. Last updated July 2026.
1. Our services
The Soul of Wind operates a music label and digital distribution service. We deliver artists' releases to digital stores (including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and YouTube Music), register recordings with YouTube Content ID, collect royalties from those platforms and promote selected releases on our own channels.
Submitting music through this website does not create a distribution agreement. A distribution relationship begins only when both sides confirm it in writing (by email), including the catalog covered and the effective date.
2. Revenue share and payouts
For distributed catalog, the artist receives 90% of the net revenue The Soul of Wind collects from stores and Content ID; The Soul of Wind retains 10%. There are no upfront fees, setup costs or per-release charges.
Royalties are reported and paid monthly, based on the statements we receive from each platform. Store reporting typically arrives with a delay of one to three months, which carries into payout timing.
3. Rights and ownership
Artists keep full ownership of their recordings and compositions. By entering distribution, the artist grants The Soul of Wind the right to deliver, monetize and promote the covered catalog on the agreed platforms for the duration of the agreement.
The artist warrants that submitted music is their own original work, that it contains no uncleared samples or third-party material, and that no other exclusive deal conflicts with the distribution.
Either side may end the distribution relationship with written notice; takedowns from stores are then requested and typically complete within a few weeks, and final royalties are settled in the following payout cycles.
4. Licensing and use of our catalog
Listening on our official channels and store profiles is free. Any other use of catalog distributed by The Soul of Wind — in videos, live streams, apps, games, films or advertising — requires a license. Our catalog is registered with YouTube Content ID, and unlicensed uploads will be claimed automatically.
For licensing requests, email contact@thesoulofwind.com with a description of your project.
5. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content distributed or displayed by The Soul of Wind infringes your copyright, send a notice to contact@thesoulofwind.com including: your contact details, identification of the copyrighted work, the location (URL) of the material in question, and a statement that you believe the use is unauthorized. We review every notice and remove infringing material where the complaint is substantiated.
6. Liability and changes
The website and its content are provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, The Soul of Wind is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the site, and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party platforms (YouTube, Spotify and others) that it does not control.
We may update these terms; the current version is always published on this page with its revision date. Continued use of the services after an update means acceptance of the revised terms.
